Why Accreditations Matter
In commercial building services, accreditations are not optional extras — they are legal and professional requirements. Working with an unaccredited contractor puts your business at risk of non-compliance, voided warranties, and potential liability.
At Reliance Commercial, every engineer holds the relevant certifications for their discipline. We are independently audited and registered with the UK's leading industry bodies, so you can be confident that every piece of work we carry out meets current British Standards and statutory requirements.
Gas Safe Register
The Gas Safe Register is the official list of gas engineers who are legally allowed to work on gas appliances in the UK. It is a legal requirement — not a choice. All Reliance Commercial engineers who carry out gas work are Gas Safe registered, ensuring every installation and service is safe, legal, and compliant.
NICEIC Approved Contractor
NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting) is the UK's leading voluntary body for the electrical contracting industry. Approved Contractor status is awarded only after rigorous assessment of technical competence, quality of work, and ongoing compliance — giving clients confidence in every electrical job we undertake.
F-Gas Certified
Our engineers hold valid F-Gas certification, a legal requirement for anyone handling, installing, servicing, or decommissioning systems that contain fluorinated greenhouse gas refrigerants. All AC and refrigeration work is carried out in full compliance with the UK F-Gas Regulations.
City & Guilds — Plumbing
Our plumbing engineers hold City & Guilds qualifications — the UK's most recognised vocational certification for plumbing and drainage. This demonstrates that our engineers have completed rigorous practical and theoretical training to nationally recognised standards.
Public Liability Insurance
Reliance Commercial holds comprehensive public liability insurance, giving our clients complete peace of mind that any third-party loss, damage, or injury arising from our work is fully covered. All documentation is available on request.
Regulatory Compliance
All work carried out by Reliance Commercial is performed in accordance with current UK legislation and British Standards.
Gas Safety (Installation & Use) Regulations 1998
All gas work complies with the statutory framework governing the safe installation and use of gas appliances in commercial premises.
BS 7671 — IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition)
All electrical installation work is designed and executed to the current edition of the IET Wiring Regulations, the standard for electrical installations in the UK.
F-Gas Regulation (EU) 517/2014 (retained in UK law)
All refrigerant handling, leak checking, and record-keeping complies with the retained UK F-Gas Regulation.
Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999
All plumbing installations comply with the Water Fittings Regulations to prevent contamination, waste, and misuse of the public water supply.
Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
All site activities are conducted in full compliance with HASAWA and associated regulations, including COSHH, PUWER, and Working at Height Regulations.
Legionella — L8 ACoP
Water system risk assessments and Legionella control programmes are carried out in accordance with the HSE Approved Code of Practice L8.
Building Regulations Part P & Part L
Electrical and energy-related work complies with the relevant parts of the Building Regulations for England and Wales.

Every job we complete is backed by the appropriate certification and documentation. We do not consider a job finished until the paperwork is in order.
